Together with the Immunometer from Micropoint Bioscience providing Procalcitonin (PCT) and future addition of C-reactive protein (CRP) in a PCT/CRP combination test assay. The measurement in a combination of CRP and PCT can provide more accurate diagnosis of sepsis.

Sepsis Deaths in England’s hospitals have risen by more than two thirds in two years. (BBC News)

The incidence of sepsis is increasing in all areas of the world where epidemiology studies have been conducted. Gram-positive bacteria have become the most common cause of sepsis, although fungal organisms are increasing most rapidly in incidence.

Even though there are over 123,000 professional visitors, you are always able to meet up with past colleagues and friends at the meeting. Although there for the full four days it is still difficult to experience each of the Halls to the full.
